David Lynch's flak jacket: 'Dark' film director pursues happiness in Transcendental Meditation

On 15 April 2007 The Sacramento Bee reported: Filmmaker David Lynch has been practising the Transcendental Meditation Technique for over 30 years. He says that TM has increased his happiness, creativity, and enjoyment of his career and his life. David Lynch was asked in an interview with The Sacramento Bee how Transcendental Meditation has impacted his career as a filmmaker.

Mr Lynch also said that as inner bliss grows, it's easier to handle life's ups and downs.

'The events of your life may stay the same, but how you go through them will be easier and better and more joyful,' David Lynch is quoted as saying. 'It's like a flak jacket.'
