Speaking recently to a Global Press Conference on the rise of positive trends throughout the United States, Dr John Hagelin, Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace, reported on the continuing results of the coherence produced in collective consciousness by a large group of Yogic Flyers practising the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme together in Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, USA.

Continuing his talk, Dr Hagelin said, 'Perhaps most surprisingly, we predicted that there would be greater balance in Nature, more immunity from the ravages of Nature. Probably all of you remember, 2005 was a year of horrific destruction by one of the most active and deadly hurricane seasons on record. While last year, 2006, experts predicted that exactly the same would happen, it never did. Despite these dire predictions the US was entirely spared from hurricanes in 2006, as we had predicted.

'This may seem a surprising prediction that improved behaviour and activity on the part of the people of the United States could result in a reduction of hurricanes. But now in the age of Chaos Theory, everybody knows that every individual indeed profoundly influences the weather. This is a famous theory, where even the motion of a butterfly wing can and will lead to striking changes in the weather; for example, precipitating or even preventing the hurricane from being predicted.

'The motion of a butterfly wing can produce such an extraordinary result,' said Dr Hagelin. 'After a period of time, it takes one or two weeks for these results, even minute results, to build up into something macroscopic, but they do. If a butterfly wing can produce a change in the weather, certainly human behaviours can produce change in the weather.

'Based on Chaos Theory, the prediction was that balanced human behaviour—life in accord with Natural Law, fewer mistakes on the part of the people—will lead not only to better health and better economy, but it would lead to more balance in the weather, and that is exactly what we've seen.

'It is amazing to think,' continued Dr Hagelin, 'that what was far from a science—the science and understanding of the dynamics of the stock market and even the weather, the pattern of hurricanes—what was really a totally chaotic phenomenon in the past, has become more of a phenomenon of science today. You can drive the markets, and even improvements of balance in the weather, simply by large groups of coherence creating experts practising Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques including Yogic Flying.

'We have control over things which were absolutely impossible to control before. This is just the progress of science. Science always, historically, encroaches upon areas that were previously outside of the realm of science. That is the history of science, and we are seeing it again today.

'The progress of science is giving us an actual tool to drive the markets and the economy as a whole in a positive direction, and to even improve the balance in the weather to allow Government to fulfil its responsibilities efficiently and effortlessly—without undue influence in crime, hostility, and problems created by the people—to promote health in the life of the people. All of these things that were primarily left to chance in the past, have become a matter of science today.'
