Recent statistics indicate that Holland's economy is stronger than expected. For nearly three years, the nation has enjoyed the support of a large group of Yogic Flyers who have been creating a powerful influence of national invincibility.

Dr Paul Gelderloos, National Director of Invincible Holland for the Global Country of World Peace, recently highlighted a front-page article from a major newspaper about the economy, as well as recent economic statistics.

Poverty declines
Poverty continues to decline in 2009, Dr Gelderloos reported. Last year, the share of households in Holland with a low income was 7.6 per cent. This year, despite the economic crises it is down to 6.8%, he said.

Holland and the Czech Republic already have among the lowest poverty rates in Europe, Dr Gelderloos said. Every country has its own poverty threshold, he noted, and in Holland that threshold is twice as high as in the Czech Republic.

Employment increases
A report from 19 March, Dr Gelderloos said, showed that despite the economic crises, the number of people with paid jobs is still increasing.

From January to February of this year, the number of jobs increased by 20,000. In February 2009, nearly 7.5 million people had a paid job—118,00 more than the previous year.

Fewer job losses
The Central Planning Bureau had predicted the loss of 20,000 jobs per month, Dr Gelderloos said. The reality has been significantly less: in January and February there was a loss of 3,000 jobs each month.

The coherence generated by Holland's large group of Yogic Flyers has cushioned the economic situation, Dr Gelderloos said. There is still a decline and it's a serious crisis, but the situation is not as bleak as it's painted to be, he said.
