Isofoton adds to South American solar push with 50MW plant

On 24 November 2012 Recharge reported: Resurgent Spanish PV manufacturer Isofoton has inked an agreement with the government of Ecuador to build a 50MW solar array in the country, becoming the latest player to unfurl its battle plans for the Latin American market. The project, slated for installation on the outskirts of the capital city Quito, is expected to cost €100m ($127.4m), generate more than 84MWh of power each year, and benefit from a feed-in tariff introduced by the Ecuadorian government last year.
