Nigeria's economy grew by 6.23 pct in Q3 2014

LAGOS (Reuters) - Nigeria's economy grew by 6.23 percent in the third quarter of 2014, up from 5.17 percent in the same period last year, lifted by its services sector, the statistics office said on Sunday.
The services sector, which accounted for 49.16 percent of third quarter Gross Domestic Product, expanded by 7.61 percent in the three months to the end of September, compared with a growth rate of 9.08 percent in same period of 2013.
Third-quarter crude production fell to 2.15 million barrels per day, down from 2.26 million barrels per day, according to the statistics office.
