Ithaca native brings Vedic archetecture to her home town
by Jill Raygor

10 December 2004
On 10 December 2004 Ithica Times reported:
Ithaca native, Sarah Reid Adamson is introducing Maharishi Sthapatya Veda design to her home town in an effort to expand her North Carolina architecture business. Reid Adamson is hopeful that the 'transformational potential of Vedic Architecture' will be readily evident to the historically progressive citizens of Ithaca.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of culture.
According to the article, Reid Adamson learned about Vedic Architecture while working for an architect in Fairfield, Iowa. When a training course in Maharishi Sthapatya Veda was announced in the Netherlands, Reid Adamson said, 'I jumped at the opportunity to add deeper meaning to my architectural practice.'
The article explained that Vedic Architecture comes from the Vedic Tradition of India and has as its goal the ideal to allow homeowners to become more attuned to their own nature and to the environment around them.
Reid Adamson describes Vedic Architecture as having 'a life-enhancing, life-supporting, and life-protecting influence.' To emphasize this point, the architect told the author about a Vedic home in Romana, California that was in the direct path of a violent forest fire. When the fire was within 50 feet of the home the winds abruptly changed direction, forcing the fire around the home. Ten minutes later the winds shifted back to the original path, missing the home.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
