by Mark Rahner

17 May 2007
On 17 May 2007 The Seattle Times reported:
During an interview which included the topic of his new book, 'Catching the Big Fish,' filmmaker David Lynch discussed Transcendental Meditation, a technique which he has been practising for over 30 years and which the article referred to as 'the source of his bliss'.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of culture.
In the interview, Lynch described how he first became interested in learning the Transcendental Meditation Technique while working on a film. He recalled his desire at the time to experience a deeper fulfillment. The article quoted Lynch as saying that although he had always recognized the truth in the phrase, 'True happiness lies within,' it was not until he learned TM that he discovered 'where the within is' and 'how to get there'.
The Seattle Times quoted Lynch as saying, 'It's not a trying; it's not a form of concentration. It's not even a form of contemplation.' Describing his initial experience during TM, Lynch is quoted as saying 'I felt transcending and I felt that bliss ... just waves of bliss.'
