Africa rising to invincibility, as presented by Dr Christopher Crowell, Minister of Religion, Culture, and Language of the Global Country of World Peace

'In more than thirty countries of the world scientific research has shown the universal benefits of Maharishi's programmes to develop consciousness. This comes to us as a great fulfilment—the universality of one experience that can enrich all experience, and bring fulfillment of all the traditions and aspirations of our world family.

'In all cultures and religions we see the aspiration to know God and to live in the Light of God—that society should be on the level of perfection, the perfection of Nature's administration.

'. . . Maharishi has taken the knowledge of the Veda from the individual level of enlightening individuals from different cultures and different lands to now seeing that the entire world family—Maharishi's world family—global collective consciousness is now rising in global enlightenment. Just as we think of the cells in the body, all being nourished and fulfilling their role, we will soon see how all of our dear friends and family throughout the world, all 6.6 billion are going to be as one, living in the wholeness of Brahm.

'This rising Light of God, every unique religion, every culture, every tradition is going to be the path to realize the totality of Natural Law in daily life, Heaven on Earth.

'This great vision that Maharishi has brought to the world is now being concretely realized through all of his beautiful programmes being brought out by the Global Country of World Peace under the rulership of Maharaja Nader Raam, with all of his Ministers, Rajas, and all of the great souls who are working throughout the world to bring this knowledge to the world family.

'In the traditional cultures of the world, it is very sweet to see the respect and appreciation for Maharishi's Vedic Science, the supreme science of complete knowledge of Natural Law for the development of higher states of consciousness of the individual and the creation of perfection in society.

'It is a joy to see that in the USA where so many school children are now learning Transcendental Meditation in their schools with the aspiration to be Invincibility Groups, more than 500 students are part of the Native American community representing the ancient culture of North America and to see the deep experiences that they are beginning to enjoy.

'The same is also true in Latin America where in the Domain of the Raja of Latin America, Dr Jose Luis Alvarez, we can see many instances where these ancient cultures are now also learning Transcendental Meditation and its advanced technique of Yogic Flying to be Custodians of Natural Law enlivening Natural Law within their collective practice to bless their nations with invincibility for all time.

'Turning to the Continent of Africa, Ghana with a population of 22 million needs a group of 475 Yogic Flyers to create an integrated national consciousness which will be a basis for affluence, peace and for Invincibility. Teaching of Transcendental Mediation has begun already in five schools and this is coming as a response to an initiative of the local Founders of Invincibility in Ghana.

'Teachers of Transcendental Meditation from Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa have come to Ghana to assist Ghana in rising to invincibility. We can see the students are quite rapt and eager to learn to meditate. And in each of the schools a core of the faculty and staff have been instructed who will be leading the group practice of Transcendental Meditation. Our desire is that by the end of this year we have structured an Invincibility Group for Ghana and that the nation will rise to be one of the first nations in Africa to be Invincible.

'We are very pleased with the generous support coming from the David Lynch Foundation in the USA to help fund many of these projects. Also, Maharishi University of World Peace founded in Geneva, Switzerland an international center for diplomacy and development, is lending its help and inspiration in organizing for our projects in Africa.

'Nigeria, with a population of 132 million, needs a group of 1,150 Yogic Flyers to create national invincibility. There the Founders of Invincibility are working hard to bring Maharishi's Consciousness-Based Education into colleges and schools.

'A presentation was recently made to the leadership of one of the largest universities in the country. Attending were the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the Deans of many of the Colleges-Arts, Sciences, Communications, Management-as well as the Head of Planning and other top administrative staff.

'This is a university with 40,000 students is now planning to host a full-day seminar on Consciousness-Based Education as the key to creating individual enlightenment and National Invincibility. And that will be held in a hall that will hold over 1,000 participants. So we will be looking forward to seeing how that group begins to rise to create invincibility for the nation.

'In addition, the Management Boards of high schools in the Lagos area are being contacted to offer Consciouness-Based Education. The schools are out of session now, but we are working with the administration so that programmes can begin in the Fall Semester.

'We have the project of creating also our own Maharishi Invincibility School. The plans are there now in Nigeria, in Ghana, and in other countries where we can create our own schools of eighty students throughout the city. We are now identifying land here in Nigeria, and in Ghana and Kenya, for these groups of students who, as part of their school day, will be the real core for upholding an integrated national consciousness—Invincibility—for their nation.

'I wanted to mention that one of the key elements in bringing Maharishi's programmes to the continent of Africa is the great inspiration and focus of the local organizers. In many countries of Africa this is being done by Meditators and experts in Yogic Flying who are working vigorously to introduce Maharishi's programmes to all levels of society.

'What will be very helpful would be a rapid expansion of the [Transcendental Meditation] Movement in this continent. Africa has almost one billion people with fifty-three nations, but currently only a very small number of Yogic Flyers.

'Following the success and inspiration of the Teacher Training Course held in Thailand this last year in the Domain of Dr Vikaram, Raja of Vedic Siam, and the current Teacher Training Course in Latin America, it is a pleasure announce a course for African countries to be held in the Drakenburg's Mountains in South Africa, a place of great silence and beauty.

'We are now inviting the Yogic Flyers and Meditators of the African countries to come forward and take on this profession of the Teacher of Transcendental Meditation—a Teacher of Invincibility that will transform the world.

'This course will be for English-speaking countries and we already have interest from five countries—Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, and South Africa. A separate course for French-speaking countries of Africa is in the planning stage at another location that we will be announcing soon.

'The course for the English-language countries will start in about one month. The participants need time to notify their employers that now they are going to take on a new profession as Founders of Invincibility for the nation. This is going to be their focus in life now and that is a status at the very highest level of society. There can be no greater role to play in the nation than to be a Founder of Invincibility.

'It is just a great joy to see the beautiful blossoming of Total Knowledge of Natural Law and purity in all the cultures of the world. We are seeing this rise of personal enlightenment and national Invincibility throughout our entire global family—the Light of God dawning throughout the entire world.

'With great gratitude on behalf of all of the people of all cultures we want to express our deep love and appreciation to Maharishi and to his beloved Master, Shri Guru Dev, His Divinity Swami Brahmanand Saraswati, Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, Himalayas, for the blessing of the supreme gift Vedic Science that is now creating unity and invincibility in the world family to realize the ideal of Vausdhaiva Kutumbakam and a heavenly life of peace and plenty for very generation to come.'
