The Second Annual David Lynch Weekend was held 25-28 May at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA and drew hundreds of participants from across the country.
Dr Robert Roth was the event moderator who began the weekend by introducing John Hagelin PhD, renowned quantum physicist. Dr John Hagelin gave two talks during the weekend with the themes, 'Quantum physics and pure consciousness— the discovery of the Unified Field' and 'Preventing war and terrorism from the quantum level'.
David Lynch, celebrated filmmaker and guest of honour, discussed his recent book, 'Catching the big fish—where do the biggest ideas come from?' to the delight of his many fans and admirers for his philanthropical work through the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace.
Donovan, legendary singer/songwriter gave a talk on 'Singing, songwriting, and the creative process' and entertained the crowds with a live concert.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, via live connection from MERU, Holland, blessed the assembly with a vision of how students can create peace and invincibility for their nation. Maharishi shared the inspiring news from around the world where peace and invincibility is already happening through his Invincibility Schools, which incorporate twice daily sessions of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programmes including Yogic Flying into the school routine.
Dr Bevan Morris, President of Maharishi University of Management, also addressed the conference, uplifting and bringing the weekend of knowledge and inspiration to a blissful conclusion.
