The Netherlands has been home to the international headquarters of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's organization for 16 years. It is also the first country to have achieved a permanent group of advanced practitioners of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, large enough to have a demonstrable positive effect on the nation as a whole. The effects of the Invincible Holland Assembly continue to be documented on GlobalGoodNews.com.

Now, according to Dr Paul Gelderloos, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace in the Netherlands, progress toward upgrading and increasing the organization's facilities in the country is gathering momentum.

International headquarters at MERU gains publicity boost

The campus at MERU has been the site of extensive new buildings, all constructed in accord with the principles of Vedic Architecture, or Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.

The monastery that originally occupied the site has recently been cloaked in a beautiful drape that hangs from scaffolding during demolition work. The drape shows a life-size artist's impression of the three- to four-storey Peace Palace that will take its place.

Previously the subject of some local concern, the demolition of the monastery has now been met with new enthusiasm. The illustrated drape, together with the new lawns and landscaped gardens at the entrance to the property, has been the subject of considerable attention from the press, radio, and television.

As a consequence, many people in Limburg province are coming specially to see the life-size artist's impression and, according to Dr Gelderloos, have been saying that, if this is the beautiful building that is going to be built, then they are now definitely in favour of demolishing the old one.

The publicity has provided an opportunity to popularize the Invincible Holland Assembly, and press releases issued by Dr Willem Meijles, Raja (Administrator) of the Netherlands for the Global Country of World Peace, have again invited the Dutch youth to join the programme and help sustain Invincible Holland.

Opportunities have arisen for Towers of Invincibility in four main cities in the Netherlands

Dr Gelderloos reported that a site in Amsterdam was identified by the Global Country of World Peace some time ago that would be best suited to a tall building. It would be ideal, he felt, for a Tower of Invincibility.

In The Hague, a construction company has approached the Global Country of World Peace to discuss the possibility of building Maharishi Invincibility Schools and Maharishi Spas in an area that it is developing. This may also provide an opportunity for a second Tower of Invincibility.

In Utrecht, at the centre of Holland, the acquisition of a beautiful site in parkland is being negotiated. This will be ideal for another magnificent Tower of Invincibility.

Near Lelystad, the location of the 'Sidhaland'—the largest permanent group of advanced practitioners of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme in the Netherlands-suitable land has been identified for yet another Tower of Invincibility.

Free publicity for Invincible Holland project

Vision magazine is publishing a five- to six-page article on the Invincible Holland project, Dr Gelderloos announced.

In the same issue of the magazine, there will be a column by a Dutch celebrity who is a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation. Her column will recount the benefits she has experienced from the technique. In addition, a letter to the editor will explain the effects of Consciousness-Based, or Vedic, Education.

The magazine has also given a free display advertisement on the back page to promote the project. The advertisement says: 'Invitation: to practise the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme in groups; to employ oneself fully; to experience more enjoyment; to create and utilise the full potential of the brain; to reach enlightenment, and to make our country invincible.'
