On 30 April 2008 Men's Vogue reported: Musician Daron Murphy gives a first-hand account of the David Lynch Weekend recently held at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA. He comments on Trancendental Meditation, David Lynch, and the 'nicest, smartest, and most vibrant' meditators he met at the university event. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of culture.

Guitarist Daron Murphy and his wife and singer Laura Dawn were invited to accompany fellow musician Moby 'at a special weekend to raise awareness of the benefits of Transcendental Meditation, hosted by film director David Lynch', Murphy wrote for Men's Vogue online.

Mr Murphy said, 'Neither Moby nor Laura nor I had any real familiarity with TM . . . . But Lynch, who's a pal of Moby, thought his music captured the spirit. So he asked us to come, and there we were.'

He stated, 'The Maharishi University of Management sits quietly among the tree-lined streets of old-fashioned, all-American Fairfield.'

The couple stayed in Maharishi Vedic City 'where houses are built to the specifications of natural law,' he said.

While waiting backstage with film director David Lynch, Murphy commented on the commitment and passion Mr Lynch has shown for Transcendental Meditation, which was evident during a question and answer session with the weekend participants.

He wrote, 'Hearing Lynch answer questions about his work and spirituality inside the auditorium, it was immediately apparent that his devotion to Transcendental Meditation is passionate and sincere. He explained that every human being possesses a ''well of creativity and bliss waiting to be tapped'', and TM is the way to get there.'

Mr Murphy explained that after Mr Lynch spoke, 'world-renowned quantum physicist John Hagelin took the stage' and spoke about the Unified Field.

The article stated, 'He showed pictures of brain scans from well-adjusted people who've practiced TM (nice brains) and from sociopathic criminals with mental problems who've never meditated (brains full of . . . black spots) and explained how TM is the only way for us to engage the entirety of our mental faculties.'

In the evening, Murphy and Laura Dawn accompanied Moby in concert. He also described his delight in playing just before legendary troubadour, Donovan.

During the weekend, Lynch, Moby and friends went to the 'Maharishi High' where the director participated in a celebration and Moby played a few songs.

The article concluded, '. . . I must say without any irony that the citizens of Fairfield are seriously on to something. Not only did these people know how to have a good time, but they were some of the nicest, smartest, and most vibrant folks I've met in a very long time. And whether or not it has anything to do with Transcendental Meditation, an outsize portion of them just happened to be conspicuously good looking. Deserving of further investigation? I think so.'

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
