On 4 March 2009 CBC News reported: Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will perform in public in the same event, for the first time in six years, at a special concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York on 4 April. The concert is a benefit for the David Lynch Foundation. The renowned film director established the foundation to support school students learning Transcendental Meditation. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of culture.

A performance honouring the late George Harrison was the last time McCartney and Starr appeared in the same venue, in 2002 in London.

Other special guests scheduled to appear at the 'Change Begins Within' concert on 4 April include Sheryl Crow, Eddie Vedder, Ben Harper, Moby, Paul Horn, Bettye Lavette, and Jim James.
