Among other celebrity musicians who performed at the benefit concert on 4 April at Radio City Music Hall in New York on behalf of the David Lynch Foundation and Consciousness-Based Education, were Moby and Jim James, who spoke afterwards about their involvement in the concert and Transcendental Meditation (TM).

After the concert Moby expressed his great appreciation for Transcendental Meditation. In an interview for Contactmusic, Moby is quoted as saying, 'One of the things that impressed me so much about TM when I finally learned it was its simplicity. It's a simple practice that calms the mind. . . . the thing that won me over about TM, was its effectiveness.' He decided to learn after hearing of the involvement of renowned filmmaker Dr David Lynch.

Jim James, who also took part in the concert and performed in two songs with Donovan, told the Courier Journal, 'It was an incredible experience for which I will be eternally thankful.'

He very much enjoyed taking part in a song written in India by Paul McCartney, who headlined the concert—'It was a real fun, sing-along type number inspired by the Maharishi,' Mr James said. Paul McCartney and several of the other musicians involved in the concert went to India in the late 1960s to study Transcendental Meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Transcendental Meditation Programme.

'The benefit was for a great cause as well, to try and get meditation programs into schools for kids to try and gain peace and insight at an early age. It makes so much sense to me, and I wish I could have discovered meditation at an earlier age. It was one of the thrills of my life and a real honor to be involved.'
