9 August 2009
The 40 aspects of the Veda and Vedic Literature will soon be available on CD and in a beautiful new set of books.
After long anticipation and with 'great demand from all over the world, this year we have released an audio CD of the 40 aspects of Veda and the Vedic Literature, first and last verse,' said Dr Girish Chandra Varma* in his Guru Purnima Day address.
Along with the many other great achievements** in India in the past year, Dr Varma presented the release of the CD, an expression of the eternal knowledge of the Veda, total Natural Law, bestowed on all mankind by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi as a gift from Guru Dev.***
A set of books including all 40 aspects of Veda and Vedic Literature is also being created. As Maharishi had wished, the books will all be one size, and will be printed on high quality paper with golden edges. The preliminary work is underway, and this set will soon be published.
There is also a focus to offer more publications to the people of India in their Mother Tongue. 'We have a number of publications in English, and other languages of the world, but we had very few books in Hindi, and other regional languages of India,' Dr Varma said. 'Two books have already been published . . . and three are in press,' he said.
'These are few of the achievements** for this year,' Dr Varma said at the conclusion of his address. He expressed his wish that by performing action established in one's own Self, everyone will achieve even more for the benefit of all mankind in the coming year.
*Dr Girish Varma is National Director of the Global Country of World Peace for India. He is also Director-General of the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahma-Sthan [geographical centre] of India, Chairman of the 160 Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, and President of Maharishi Institutes of Management and Information Technology, in India.
**Please see Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V, Part VI and Part VII of this article, to read more of Dr Varma's inspiring account of achievements in India this past year, presented earlier in his address.
