Training the individual to develop higher states of consciousness: Global role of the Ministry of Religion and Culture

Reflecting on the achievements, purpose, and intentions of his Ministry during the global Guru Purnima Assembly in MERU, Holland, in July, Dr Christopher Crowell, Minister of Religion and Culture of the Global Country of World Peace, said that it is only a matter of training individuals to develop higher states of consciousness,* so that they can express the Will of God in their own lives and in collective life. In this way the society will spontaneously reflect the quality of life of Heaven on Earth, the aspiration of all religions and cultures throughout the ages.

Continuing his presentation, Dr Crowell explained that the Light of God is the brilliant intelligence of our own self-referral consciousness in its supreme state. When the light is not there, then in darkness misunderstandings arise and the perfection and unity of life are lost. Suffering and conflict are the consequence.

The task of this Ministry is to take responsibility for the success of every area of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's knowledge and for the fulfilment of every person on earth. Every channel of Maharishi's knowledge 'we feel is a precious opportunity to accelerate the transformation of time to Heaven on Earth,' he said.

'The leadership of the Rajas, Raj Rajeshwaris, Ministers, and National Directors of every country, under the guidance of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam (First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace), are bringing about this transformation in the world.'

Dr Crowell praised Dr Kwesi Orgle, Deputy Minister for Africa, and Dr Evan Finkelstein, Director of this Ministry in the United States, for their great work. 'Also now, cultural and religious leaders, such as Dr Gabriel Mejia in Colombia, Prosper Waukon in the US, and others, are taking great areas of responsibility to bring Maharishi's knowledge to their people.' He also recognized the innumerable contributions of Dr Ann Crowell, whom Maharishi called 'the Mother of all cultures'.

Dr Crowell concluded: 'Speech does not capture our gratitude, joy, and awe that we share the good fortune of participating in this blossoming of life that is coming at this time through Maharishi's gift of divine life, the grace of Guru Dev,** the glory of God for all people for every generation to come.'

* Maharishi explains that beyond the familiar states of waking, dreaming, and sleeping are four higher states of consciousness—Transcendental Consciousness, Cosmic Consciousness, God Consciousness, and Unity Consciousness—each bringing a new dimension of physiological functioning, experience, knowledge, and fulfillment.
