25 April 2010
On 25 April 2010 DailyMotion.com reported:
Renowned filmmaker David Lynch recently spoke about how the Transcendental Meditation Programme (TM) is unique among the many meditation techniques available today. People may be interested in trying different forms of meditation, 'but you owe [it to] yourself to come afterwards and try TM, and see the difference,' Mr Lynch commented.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of culture.
Transcendental Meditation does not involve concentration or contemplation, which keep the mind on the surface level of thinking, Mr Lynch explained, in an interview with David Servan Schreiber, MD, PhD, during a recent visit to France.*
Transcendental Meditation 'turns the awareness within' and 'takes you to the transcendent', Mr Lynch said.
Through Transcendental Meditation, people who have been searching and trying different approaches finally find 'the experience that they were looking for', he said.
'My first experience was so sublime, I couldn't believe it,' Mr Lynch commented.
'It's so natural. . . . It's just natural to feel good. It's unnatural to suffer, it's unnatural to be filled with bitter anger or hate, it's unnatural be stressed, it's unnatural to be tired all the time.'
Transcendental Meditation naturally allows stresses to be dissolved, so that life gets better and better, he said.
The technique is taught by carefully trained Teachers who 'spend a long time learning how to teach. Then they teach you just the way Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (Founder of the Transcendental Meditation Programme) would have taught you. So you know you're getting the real thing.'
