Global Mother Divine Organization Translate This Article
7 May 2011
A special celebration of Mother's Day will be held in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, on Sunday 8 May, featuring Ann Mortifee, an award-winning performing artist, singer, songwriter, and author. The wife of world-renowned flutist Paul Horn, Ms Mortifee was named Canada's 'Woman of Distinction' for her outstanding contributions to the healing and performing arts.
She will also participate in a weekend symposium on Music and Consciousness, 14-15 May at Maharishi University of Management, speaking on 'The Integration of Consciousness and the Musical Voice'.
This Sunday Ms Mortifee will give a special musical performance, read from her new book, and describe her work with indigenous musicians around the world, in light of the knowledge and technologies of consciousness of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
The event, for women, is sponsored by the Global Mother Divine Organization - USA, and the MUM Women's Institute.
