PRESS RELEASE - To promote friendship, cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between the Chinese and Zambian peoples, the Chinese Embassy and the Chinese Community in Zambia will organize the 2014 Chinese Spring Festival Temple Fair in Zambia at Levy Junction between 09:00 to 19:30, Saturday, 25th January, 2014 to celebrate one week in advance the Chinese Spring Festival or the Chinese Lunar New Year, which is the most important traditional Chinese festival, more or less an equivalent to Christmas in the Christian culture.

The fair's admission is free and it consists of six components namely Art Performances, Cultural Show, Chinese Cuisine, Interactive Games, Fireworks Display and Film Exhibition (which will be done on 18-19th January 2014).

All friends are warmly invited to join us at the celebration to enjoy the cheerful and colorful Chinese cultural traditions and to share with us the happiness, joy, peace and luck in the Chinese lunar new year, the year of the Horse.
