On 29 January 2018 Balkan Insight reported:
UNESCO's decision in December 2017 to recognize the unique woodwork of Konjic as part of the world's heritage will give an extra boost to a business that was already enjoying success. It looks so simple, watching the woodcarvers of Konjic in central Bosnia. They cut the patterns into the wood so fast that the naked eye can hardly follow. For generations, they have been carving their flower and leaf patterns on every piece of furniture that the town's famous shops produce. In December last year, Konjic's woodcarving was added to the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Global Good News service views this news as a sign of rising positivity in the field of culture, documenting the growth of life-supporting, evolutionary trends.
