Maharishi Spiritual University offers courses for ladies

On September 6, the 120-acre Maharishi Spiritual University campus near Maharishi Vedic City was inaugurated internationally as a campus for 8,000 ladies and girls. New curricula and degree programs will be offered for kindergarten through Ph.D.

Maharishi Spiritual University is currently offering a new series of part-time short courses for lady Governors, Sidhas, and Meditators. These are designed so that ladies with limited time may gain inspiring and useful knowledge for the enrichment of their personal, professional, and family lives.

'The University was founded to develop the unbounded cosmic potential of ladies, so that they may effectively and blissfully achieve their goals in any area of life, and fulfill their special responsibilities in society,' said Dr. Susan Dillbeck, president of Maharishi Spiritual University.

'Due to the refined qualities of their physiology, ladies have the natural duty to maintain righteousness and to prevent destructive values from taking hold at any level of life -- in the family, community, or nation,' Dr. Dillbeck said. 'Their natural role is to nourish and harmonize, to be a steady influence for balanced progress in society, and to guide the younger generation to enlightenment. To really be able to do this, ladies' education must develop the full strength of their consciousness.'

Ladies worldwide who take the University's courses report profound and lasting experiences. A participant in the International Days of Total Knowledge wrote, 'This course was a wonderful combination of Maharishi's universal wisdom applied particularly to ladies -- deep experience of my Self, and profound inspiration for my roles as wife, mother, and creative force for good in the world.'

A beginning Sanskrit student wrote, 'This course was a dream come true. Every class created a sense of well-being and happiness. The teacher's experience and knowledge, and the warm atmosphere of ladies, created a beautiful learning environment where Sanskrit was enlivened in our physiology and learning was a joy.'

Longer in-residence courses giving deep experiences of bliss consciousness are offered four times a year. As of fall 2004, all courses are being held in the new Rosenfield Hall of Knowledge at Maharishi Spiritual University.

• Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Sanskrit

• Maharishi's Principles of Guiding Children to Enlightenment -- Promoting Ideal and Evolutionary Behavior

• Learning to Sing Ancient Vedic Songs

• Introduction to the Maharishi Jyotish(SM) Aspect of the Vedic Literature

• Vedic Mathematics for Quick and Blissful Calculations

The Founder of the University has given the vision that Maharishi Spiritual University will create mothers of the world who, by being nourished within themselves, will create the basis for permanent world peace.
