Peace palace plans pending: Maharishi opens centers

On 3 January 2006 Press-citizen.com reported: A second Maharishi Enlightenment Centre is planned to open soon in Iowa City, USA, in six to eight weeks, and there are plans for finding land on which to build a large two-story 'Peace Palace' and Maharishi Peace University, as well as for using part of the land for organic agriculture. There is already one successful Maharishi Enlightenment Centre in Iowa City, and eight others throughout the state of Iowa. Only a few months after the first Maharishi Enlightenment Centre opened in Iowa City, USA, co-director of the project, Kent Boyum, says that a second centre will be opening in six to eight weeks.

As soon as the new Maharishi Enlightenment Centre is established, Antimuro said they will begin to look for a larger tract of land in the Iowa City area for a Peace Palace, and possibly also for organic agriculture, and a Maharishi Peace University.
