On 12 February 2007 The Chronicle reported: The Transcendental Meditation Technique is featured in film director David Lynch's new book, 'Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness, and Creativity', and is the guiding light for the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of education.

In the 3,400 seat Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California, the famous director discussed his new book 'which revolves around the concept of the "big fish" as the metaphorical objective in the process of unearthing deep rooted ideas,' the Chronicle reported.

The director told the audience that anyone could learn the Transcendental Meditation Technique, which allows a person to dive deep within, experience bliss, intelligence, and creativity, and to also be able to live a better life. The Chronicle quoted Mr Lynch as saying, 'Fill yourself up with bliss, fill yourself up with creativity, and be able to tell those stories about other humans on a deeper level. And stay non-suffering, stay blissful . . .'

Actress Laura Dern, the star of Lynch's new movie 'Inland Empire', told the audience that Transcendental Meditation has 'worked so profoundly' in helping her 'exist in the moment as an actress'.

The Chronicle observed that, while Lynch emphasized that meditation does not make one numb to emotion, the 'fierce looking' filmmaker '. . . seems to have reached a level of internal and imaginative harmony'.

Musican Donovan provided the evening's entertainment with 'soothing musical meditations', joined by musical guest Mike Love, of the Beach Boys.
