Five Maharishi School seniors recently received recognition in the 2007 National Merit Scholarship program, which is an academic competition that recognizes the nation's top students.

Noah Caplan, Owen Stowe, and Angela Folz were honored as National Merit Semifinalists, placing them in the top 1% nationwide. They subsequently advanced to the rank of finalists after submitting an application that included high school courses and grades, SAT scores, extracurricular and volunteer activities, a recommendation from a principal, and a self-descriptive essay. As finalists, they are now considered for various scholarships.

Receiving National Merit Commendations were seniors Mehul Kar and Atish Dey, placing them in the top 3% nationwide.
