Proper education should develop the whole brain

During the recent Global Conference on Education, Dr John Hagelin, Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace, gave a comprehensive exposition on Consciousness-Based Education, which he said is the key to unlocking the hidden reserves of the brain not accessed in conventional education.
During the conference—the third in the current series taking place at the Global Financial Capital of New York—Dr Hagelin, who is a renowned quantum physicist, explained how the fundamental level of creation, the Unified Field, is the field of Consciousness accessible within each person through Maharishi's Technologies of Consciousness.
Accessing this storehouse of unlimited power and orderliness during the practice of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and its advanced practice, the TM-Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying, develops holistic brain functioning, creating an unlimited flow of creativity and unlimited access to one's full potential.
This is the knowledge that has been missing from education. In modern education, only isolated pieces of knowledge are focused on, and this narrow focus causes the brain to become imbalanced—growing stronger in only a few areas, but becoming weaker in others, creating what's known as 'functional holes' in one's brain.
In fact, with the modern system of education, the IQ freezes in adolescence and precipitously declines in early adulthood, Dr Hagelin said. However, where conventional education fails, Consciousness-Based Education succeeds—by enlivening the total brain, engaging every part of the brain in perfect unity. This gives the student a complete experience of life, and gives the individual the ability to become a truly integrated and infinitely intelligent person.
