Ninety prospective students from around the country came to campus last month to participate in a special Visitors Weekend that coincided with the David Lynch Weekend.

Student hosts guided the visitors through a flurry of activities planned especially for the weekend. With a visitor-to-host ratio of about four to one, each prospective student received individual attention and had the opportunity to interact with his or her peers.

Each Visitors Weekend event—from Friday night's inaugural dinner to the opportunity to sit in on classes on Monday—showcased a unique aspect of the University. Highlights included a lunchtime opportunity to explore the majors offered, the impromptu appearance of Dr. David Lynch during another lunch, and a pizza party featuring a student concert at Revelations.

Many visitors particularly enjoyed the students' varied musical performances. One noted that the world music and eclectic repertoire were quite uncommon and special, not unlike the student body itself.

The visitors also participated in the David Lynch Weekend.

One visitor's stopover at Maharishi University of Management was part of a quest to find the best way to further his knowledge of sustainable communities. He remarked that this was the only environment he had found that could offer such a strong combination of academic understanding, social integration, and spiritual practice.

Each prospective student found a different aspect of the University most enchanting: the remarkably progressive cafeteria, the sense of community on campus, or the spacious single rooms in the student dorms.

But the one quality that seemed to eclipse all others was the 'feeling' of Maharishi University of Management—a word heard over and over again.
