Netherlands: Progress of Consciousness-Based Education for ladies

Dr Lidewij Meijles, Director of Consciousness-Based Education for Ladies in the Netherlands, reported on the most recent developments and successes in her nation during a special live global broadcast on 19 July 2007. Her presentation was part of the 'Global Celebration of Consciousness-Based Education for Mothers in Every Generation', which was featured during the commencement ceremonies of Maharishi University of Enlightenment.

Following is a transcript of Dr Meijles' talk:

'As the Mother of the Domain of the Raja* of Holland, and under the auspices of the Raj Rajeshwari* of Holland, it is a great honour and pleasure to speak on behalf of the Dutch national branch of the International Foundation of Consciousness-Based Education for Mothers in Every Generation.

'First and foremost, we would like to congratulate the new graduates of today. Their graduation is a cosmic confirmation of their status as universal mothers of the whole world.

'On the first of July, blessed by a beautiful sun, which appeared amidst the clouds on the arrival of our guests and disappeared upon their departure, here at Meru, in Vlodrop, we celebrated the end of the school year of the Consciousness-Based Education schools in Lelystad and Amsterdam, and also the joyous start of a new invincibility school in Roermond, near Vlodrop, with pupils, teachers, parents, and grandparents.

'After an official reception by Nusha Swan and the other two tour leaders of the day, and welcoming words by Dr Paul Gelderloos, Chief Minister of the Global Country of World Peace for Holland, a tour on the premises was made in tilt cars, and on camel back.

'A lavish picnic, well organized by Dr Susie Swan, and a group photo taken in front of the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace, preceded a series of lectures in the Brahmasthan (central area of the building) on Maharishi Sthapatya Veda , Maharishi Ayur-Veda, and especially on Consciousness-Based Education by Raja Willem and Dr Peter Swan, Minister of Communication of the Global Country of World Peace. After that, and an ice cream treat, everyone left fully saturated with Total Knowledge.

'And now some more words on our Consciousness-Based schools: 20 years ago we started a now-fully blossoming and forever-growing Consciousness-Based primary school in Lelystad, with now almost 90 pupils, half of them from outside our community. Last year we started two Invincibility Schools in Amsterdam, an all-girls' school, and in Lelystad, an all boys' school for Consciousness-Based secondary education. The idea is that in all our schools, separate classes are organized for girls.

'This autumn we hope to have a Consciousness-Based Education school in the major cities of Holland, to safeguard invincibility.

'To end, we want to thank our Minister of Education, our lady National Education Director, the directors of the schools, and the teachers for their tremendous dedication and devotion. Also we thank Dr Alarik Arenander, Dr Ashley Deans, and Dr Susan Dillbeck, all three of whom toured Holland extensively last year, and in doing so stirred Dutch educational consciousness. (Dr Arenander is an eminent brain researcher at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA; Dr Deans is director of Maharishi School of the age of Enlightenment, also in that city; Dr Dillbeck is President of the International Foundation of Consciousness-Based Education for Mothers in Every Generation.)

'May I end with expressing our deepest gratitude to His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Maharaja Nader Raam, Guru Dev**, Brahmananda Saraswati, and the Holy Tradition of Vedic Masters for blessing the world with this most precious gift of Vedic Education, so that every child on earth can grow up as a fully enlightened individual, and so that every girl can become an enlightened mother of society.
