Delegation from Hamsa (Hungary) gains knowledge of Maharishi Vedic Education and Agriculture - Part I

Recently speaking on Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast around the world on satellite and Channel 3 of the Maharishi Channel, Raja John Konhaus welcomed to MERU, Holland, a delegation from Hamsa (Hungary), one of the countries in his domain, which also includes: Japan, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Jamaica, Somalia, Chad, and Kyrgyzstan.

Raja Konhaus organized for the delegation, which includes four members of the Global Country of World Peace in Hungary, to spend several days at MERU, Holland, learning about Maharishi Vedic Education and Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture. 'The delegates are obtaining this knowledge so that they may improve the quality of life in their nation,' said Raja Konhaus.

First Raja Konhaus extended a warm welcome to the delegation, praising Hungary as a 'precious and ancient nation, whose people are known for their keen intellects and warm hearts.' He also noted Maharishi's name for Hungary, 'Hamsa', which signifies 'swan' in Sanskrit, 'a bird known for its ability to discriminate and for its graceful behaviour.' After his opening remarks, the Raja introduced the delegates individually.

Raja Konhaus then introduced the head of the delegation, Istvan Dienes, who is Co-National Director of the Global Country of World Peace in Hungary. Istvan holds a Masters Degree in mathematics, and is a 'brilliant strategist, thinker, and inventor,' said Raja Konhaus. 'He has created some inventions that could improve the quality of life in Hungary, as well as help support the Global Country of World Peace in that country.'

Next, Raja Konhaus introduced Professor Csaba Varga, a distinguished faculty member of the sociology department at the University of Pannonia, and National Director of Education of the Global Country of World Peace. 'Professor Varga immediately realized the effects of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in the field of sociology,' reported Raja Konhaus, 'and he hopes to discover more fully its influence on his nation as a whole.'

Professor Varga is also President of the Institute of Strategic Research, a private institute affiliated with the university, through which he hopes to incorporate the Transcendental Meditation Programme in a strategic plan for creating peace.

Raja Konhaus went on to introduce Istvan Juhasz, who is mayor of Vekerd, a rural town in Eastern Hungary. On some of the farmland in his town, the mayor hopes to implement Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture, as well as house Vedic Pandits to provide the necessary technology for Vedic Agriculture. These Vedic Pandits will also contribute to the coherence creating group of 400 Yogic Flyers in Hungary, the amount needed to attain Invincibility for the nation. In addition to agriculture, Mayor Juhasz has plans for introducing Consciousness-Based Education into as many as 23 schools throughout the area.

To conclude his introductions, Raja Konhaus welcomed Mr Akos Mester, Director of Administration for the Global Country of World Peace in Hungary. Mr Mester, who has a Master's degree in music, is a 'very talented, dynamic, and clear organizer who will contribute greatly to the launching of Maharishi's programmes in Hungary', said Raja Konhaus.
