On a recent Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, spoke about a new plan for creating 40,000 Yogic Flyers at a university in Venezuela.

Raja Jose Luis reported that eminent educator Dr Richard Tucker-Loero is preparing to establish a permanent group of Yogic Flyers that will practise together during the university's 'Community Hours'.

'Sometimes it is difficult to set up a permanent group in a university because, unlike in a school, the students rotate; they have different schedules and different teachers.' It is easy to teach them the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, Raja Luis explained, but to have the group practising together on a permanent basis—to create a continuous influence of coherence and harmony in the national consciousness just requires some coordination with the institution.

Now they have organized a plan that Dr Tucker thinks will be very satisfactory: in every subject, every student in the university has a number of 'Community Hours'—hours dedicated to practical social activities. 'It has been decided that for the whole university the Community Hours will mean Yogic Flying, because there is nothing better that one could do for a community than practise Yogic Flying together,' Raja Jose Luis explained.

Along with this, there will be a period of Total Knowledge once a week to complement this experience of Yogic Flying. Initially 20,000 of the 40,000 students will learn Yogic Flying in the next three months. If this succeeds, then the other 20,000 will learn Yogic Flying during the next semester. 'So we think in one year he will have made all his university students into 40,000 Yogic Flyers. So it's a big target Dr Tucker has set,' Raja Jose Luis said.

Another important development is that for students starting in the university, there will be an examination and the requirement to be practising Transcendental Meditation in order to join the university. Raja Jose Luis said that 'this is the strategy that has been developed to ensure that there are always enough Yogic Flyers, regardless of the different routines of the university', to make the nation invincible.
