Maharishi's programmes welcomed in Hamsa (Hungary) - Part II - Consciousness-Based Education

Raja John Konhaus, Raja of Hamsa (Hungary) for the Global Country of World Peace, reported on his recent visit to the nation and the tremendous interest in Consciousness-Based Education there.

Speaking on the Maharishi Global Family Chat 24 August, he said that the people of Hamsa were very receptive to Maharishi's knowledge and programmes, and that this was especially evident in their response to presentations about Consciousness-Based Education.

'We had the opportunity to present to many principals, Mayors, university officials, faculty, and administration,' Raja Konhaus said.

Everywhere he went, Raja Konhaus continued, people said they were dissatisfied with their educational system, and so they were 'very very attentive' during the presentations. They knew we had something that they needed, he said.

Raja Konhaus presented scientific research about how the Transcendental Meditation Technique benefits students and also discussed the success of Consciousness-Based Education at schools around the world. The educators appreciated the practicality of the programme, Raja Konhaus said.

One principal was so impressed that after the presentation she said she wanted the programme implemented in her entire school beginning in September. By the next day she had raised the necessary funds.

The chief administrators of a university expressed interest in an affiliation with Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.

Raja Konhaus also described a very fruitful meeting with a top educator in the nation, who was interested in bringing Consciousness-Based Education to many schools.

Mayors and school principals in rural areas were enthusiastic as well. Several Mayors and educators had gathered to hear about the programme, and after the presentation they said they would speak with other Mayors in the region to organize its implementation.
