Tour of Dr Arenander through India - Maharishi Vidya Mandir students enthusiastic about total brain development

Dr Alarik Arenander*, Director of the Brain Research Institute at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, and his wife Dr Cynthia Arenander, recently reported on their six-week tour of India from early September through late October. They visited eight cities, making presentations to the great intellects, academics, and opinion-makers in India—as well as many students—about Maharishi's Vedic Science and total brain development. The presentations included live brainwave demonstrations showing increased coherence of brainwave activity through the practice of the Transcendental Meditation Technique.

Speaking on the Maharishi Global Family Chat Dr Arenander highlighted the tremendous enthusiasm of Maharishi Vidya Mandir students upon hearing the presentations.

During the presentations, Dr Cynthia and Dr Alarik Arenander had the students read aloud all together the main theme of the presentation: 'Maharishi has given me the key to open up my ultimate treasury'—the full potential of the brain.

One student got so excited that he jumped up and said 'me!'—Maharishi has given ME the key to the ultimate treasury—Dr Cynthia Arenander commented.

Afterwards, when asked what they liked best about the presentation, the students said how much they enjoyed being able to see what was happening through Transcendental Meditation during the live brainwave demonstration.

The students expressed their heartfelt appreciation with beautiful handmade cards, and also garlands and shawls, which they gave as gifts to the Arenanders. After the presentations, the students asked for the Arenanders' autographs.

In their presentations, Dr Cynthia and Dr Alarik Arenander told the students that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi is the greatest scientist—not only because of his knowledge about the nature of life and the Constitution of the Universe, the Veda, but also because of his direct experience of the Veda. They told the students, that they too are great scientists exploring the field of all possibilities not only intellectually, but also through direct experience with their daily practice of Transcendental Meditation.

The Arenanders told the students how proud of them they are, and that they see the students as future world leaders.

The students were enthusiastic to hear about other Maharishi School students around the world, and they inspired a proposed Maharishi Global Leadership Conference for Youth, Dr Arenander said.

*Alarik Arenander, PhD, is also Director of Research at the Center for Leadership Performance, a division of Maharishi University of Management's Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy. Dr Arenander, an expert in the neurobiology of brain development and mind-body health, has conducted pioneering research at the University of California at Los Angeles, Penn State University at Hershey, University of Wisconsin at Madison, and Maharishi University of Management.
