Outstanding success of England's Maharishi School and Head Teacher Dr Derek Cassells

Dr Derek Cassells, Head Teacher at the highly successful Maharishi School in Skelmersdale, England, has recently been called to meetings with government and education officials. In his role as the National Director of Education for the Global Country of World Peace in Great Britain, he is the centre of expansion of Consciousness-Based Education in the nation.

In December, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, informed Dr Cassells that he'd been awarded his Doctorate in the Science of Creative Intelligence from MERU (Maharishi European Research University).

This is a wonderful recognition of the work Dr Cassells has done over the last 20 years running the Maharishi School, said Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace.

The Maharishi School is small compared to other schools in Great Britain—several hundred students—but it has topped the league tables in exams and wins numerous awards. The school distinguishes itself consistently, Raja Peter said.

Last summer, the Maharishi School students excelled at the year-end General Certificate of Secondary Education examinations, which are set by the authorities, not the school. Students took five or more subjects, and 85% of Maharishi School students gained passes at the A*-C levels, compared to 65% in the country as a whole. 75% of the pupils at Maharishi School gained passes at the A*-C levels in English and Mathematics, compared to just 47% nationally. These league-topping results are always extraordinary, Raja Peter commented.

Raja Peter also reported on an upcoming exhibition at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, which will be attended by thousands of teachers. There will be a stall for Consciousness-Based Education with flyers and leaflets as well as a beautiful and comprehensive exhibition.
