On 20 April 2009 Bloomberg.com reported:
The Radio City Music Hall, New York benefit concert in early April, headlined by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and others, raised about $3 million for the David Lynch Foundation's programmes.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of education.
In a recent phone interview with Bloomberg.com, Dr David Lynch, who for the past three years has been raising funds to bring Consciousness-Based Education to schools around the world, said, 'Every country should have one peace-creating university. I'd say in a perfect world, let's aim in the future for 100 countries to have a peace-creating university.'
The David Lynch Foundation has funded over 70,000 students to learn Transcendental Meditation; teachers also teach the technique in schools around the country.
In the Bloomberg article, Dr Lynch said that in schools where the students meditate, 'the fighting stopped, relationships improved and they're filled with happiness.'
The article concluded with Dr Lynch saying that he hadn't 'missed a day of meditating in 36 years. That's where all the power comes from'. He said it is a great asset to his creative process.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
