Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.) in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, will be hosting two momentous events this fall, including a 35th anniversary celebration for the university, and a major international conference for American Indians.

M.U.M. will commemorate the 35th anniversary of its move to its permanent campus in Fairfield from Santa Barbara, California, on Friday 25 September, 2009 from 10:00a.m. to noon US Central Time.

During the event, speakers will highlight the many achievements of students, faculty, staff, and president Dr Bevan Morris—all based on all the knowledge and programmes of Consciousness-Based Education developed especially for the University by its Founder, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi—'whose inspiration has permeated the curriculum totally', said Dr Robert Roth. Dr Roth, National Director of Expansion for the Global Country of World Peace in the US, was speaking on 1 September 2009.* The 25 September event will feature a press conference, and will be webcast, Dr Roth said.

Beginning the same day at M.U.M.—the evening of 25 September—is a major international conference for American Indians: 'How to Build Healthy Sustainable American Indian Communities', which will last until noon on Sunday, 27 September.

This conference will address the ultimate goal of helping American Indian reservations become self-sufficient, healthy, happy, and prosperous communities whose residents create coherence and invincibility for the whole environment through Maharishi's Technologies of Consciousness; and of 'establishing unity between American Indian values and Maharishi's principles of Natural Law,' explained Dr Roth. Thus far, Native Americans have demonstrated complete receptivity to Maharishi's knowledge and programmes, and the conference promises to be a great success.
