On 15 November 2009 KTVO3 - Heartland Connection.com reported:
Through the generosity of the David Lynch Foundation, 107,000 students around the world have been able to learn the Transcendental Meditation Programme. Renowned filmmaker David Lynch spoke about his Foundation and the benefits of Transcendental Meditation, and also gave advice about filmmaking at the Fourth Annual David Lynch Weekend at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of education.
The David Lynch Foundation offers individual students or entire schools—in countries around the globe—the opportunity to learn the Transcendental Meditation Programme, Lynch explained.
'So here's a technique that allows anyone to dive within . . . transcend, experience this unbounded happiness, intelligence, creativity within every human being. We just need the technique to get there,' the article quoted Dr Lynch as saying.
'[Transcendental Meditation] transforms life . . . . It is amazing, amazing because the change comes from within,' Dr Lynch said in the article.
He also commented on the great creativity and intelligence he saw in the student filmmakers at Maharishi University of Management. His advice for aspirants in this field was '. . . get your own voice and stay true to that voice', the article reported.
