Students in Italy enjoying Transcendental Meditation

Students and teachers at a school in Sicily have begun practising the Transcendental Meditation Programme as part of their school day.

Two classes have learned Transcendental Meditation and more students are eager to learn, said Dr Ubaldo Cortinovis, National Director of Invincible Italy for the Global Country of World Peace.*

The first class of about 30 students learned Transcendental Meditation a month ago, and another 20 students learned in the second class, Dr Cortinovis continued.

About 12 teachers and staff are also now practising Transcendental Meditation.

Each morning students practise Transcendental Meditation together, Dr Cortinovis said. The students have expressed great appreciation for the technique, he added.

A third class will have the opportunity to learn soon, and the goal is to have the entire school of 500 students meditate together.

Dr Cortinovis also announced the opening of a new Maharishi Invincibility Centre** in Rome, which will offer Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems along with other programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

There are also six new websites in Italian, he said, featuring Maharishi's programmes in Italy, including: Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care, programmes in the field of management, Consciousness-Based Education, Maharishi Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Ayur-Veda products, and Transcendental Meditation.
