South Africa's Maharishi Invincibility Institute to collaborate with Maharishi University of Management, USA

A great breakthrough in Consciousness-Based Education is taking place in South Africa through its Maharishi Invincibility Institute (MII). The initiative is developing under the leadership of Dr Taddy Blecher, Director of Education for the Global Country of World Peace in South Africa, and Dr Richard Peycke, National Director.

Dr Blecher and Dr Peycke explained recently that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi had asked them to develop a system for MII students to earn degrees through Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.), Fairfield, Iowa, USA, via distance education. This model could then be applied throughout the world. On 18 February 2010, the collaborative agreement was signed between M.U.M. and MII, and the foundation established to realize Maharishi's plan.

At MII, the BA degree in Business Administration will run in four phases over 4.5 to 5 years, depending on the starting level of the students. School-leavers who are better prepared can complete it in 4 years.

A grant has enabled M.U.M. and MII to work on packaging the knowledge so as to easily create campuses anywhere, and the package will be complete in 2011.

Dr Blecher said this is the first truly global university that will function all over the world, with all aspects such as students, faculty, and marking going on everywhere by means of the Information Technology-based infrastructure packaging. This will enable students from any country to earn an internationally recognized degree from an accredited American university—a completely 'portable' qualification that can be used anywhere.

Dr Peycke emphasized that this international Consciousness-Based Education programme is an ideal opportunity to transform the physiologies and brain development of a new generation of leaders—and to establish one or more groups of Yogic Flyers to create harmony in the collective consciousness and invincibility for any nation.
