Maharishi School in Uganda expanding

Consciousness-Based Education is blossoming in Uganda, where a Maharishi secondary school continues to enjoy success, and a recent Consciousness-Based Education seminar created great interest in this ideal system of education.

Raja Graham de Freitas, Raja of Invincible Uganda for the Global Country of World Peace, recently visited the nation and reported on achievements in the field of education.*

Under the leadership of Dr Grant Lusimbo, National Director of Uganda for the Global Country, the Maharishi School in Uganda is flourishing. The school met official requirements in record time and the student body continues to expand.

Nearly thirty students from Kenya have decided to attend Uganda's Maharishi School, Raja Graham reported. The students come from a village which deeply appreciates the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The village has a primary school with over two hundred practising Transcendental Meditation, but does not have a secondary school, so the students are happy to have the opportunity to attend the secondary school in Uganda.

During his stay in Uganda, Raja Graham also held a one-day Consciousness-Based Education seminar attended by the general public and practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Programme. The seminar introduced this highly successful and effective system of education, as well as possibilities open to schools and universities that would like to implement it. Fifty people attended the conference and it was well-received, he said.

Raja Graham was also pleased to announce that three new Transcendental Meditation Teachers have returned to Uganda after completing their recent Teacher Training Course in Thailand. They will be working with Dr Lusimbo to help create national invincibility, he said.
