Students and teachers in Israel praise benefits of Transcendental Meditation

Students, teachers, and administrators at a high school in Israel say that the introduction of the Transcendental Meditation Programme has resulted in tremendous positive change in the school.

'You can feel a major change here,' one teacher said. 'The school is quiet, it is a nice place to be in, it's a nice place to learn—you don't just see it, you can feel it. The parents feel it, the students feel it, everybody feels it.'

'I have become a lot calmer,' a student reported. 'I can concentrate better on my homework and when sitting in the classroom.'

Another student said: 'Meditation was like a diamond. I took it into my life [and] it was the best thing I've ever done in my life.'

The school's vice principal said: 'You can really feel the quiet. It is much easier for us to deal with the students. They are quieter and more focused, and their achievements have improved substantially.

'I would suggest to other schools of all levels to introduce this project [Consciousness-Based Education],' he continued. 'They will see in a very short time the positive effects on the students, on the school, and on the environment where the students live.'
