Three major events will be held soon in the United States, to promote expansion of timely initiatives to bring the Transcendental Meditation Programme to many more inner-city students, prison inmates, and military veterans; and to increase the coherence-creating group of Yogic Flyers in the Invincible America Assembly in Fairfield, Iowa. The events* are scheduled for later this month, October, and December:

1. 'A National Gala Evening of Knowledge and Celebration' on 25 September. The purpose is to inspire support to help bring Transcendental Meditation to those in need, including military veterans with PTSD, inner-city students, and prison inmates. Several thousand people will attend banquets held simultaneously at 90 Maharishi Invincibility Centres across the country, and enjoy a national webcast with speakers including Dr David Lynch, Raja John Hagelin, Raja of Invincible America, and legendary singer Donovan.

2. A national 22-city tour of the US by Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, and Raja Hagelin, from the end of September through October. They will inspire Transcendental Meditation practitioners around the country with the great importance of the Invincible America Assembly and encourage them to support the assembly in every way possible.

3. The second annual 'Change Begins Within' event, to be held Monday, 13 December at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This gala evening will be hosted by the David Lynch Foundation. Many celebrities have committed to support this event, including Dr Mehmet Oz, Russell Simmons, Clint Eastwood, Russell Brand, and Dr Lynch.

Since the historic David Lynch Foundation benefit concert at Radio City Music Hall in April 2009, over 150,000 inner-city students and prison inmates have learned Transcendental Meditation, and the foundation hopes to expand this number even more through the success of this event.

Global Good News will feature more about these upcoming events in the coming days.

* Dr Adam Pressman, National Director of Video Production for the Global Country of World Peace, reported these events on the 14 September 2010 Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3.
