Germany: Growing interest in Consciousness-Based Education

Interest in Consciousness-Based Education programmes is expanding throughout Germany, with great support from the dynamic initiatives of the Global Mother Divine Organization* in the country.

The organization reported on achievements in Germany on the final day of the recent Third International GMDO Congress in MERU, Holland.

The Global Mother Divine Organization in Germany announced the completion of an Ideal Girls School in Erfurt, which is in the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of the nation. The school, currently operating in temporary facilities, hosted an open house for 3,000 visitors. An attending school principal will begin implementing Consciousness-Based Education in her school.

GMDO Director Martina Bergmann, along with Dr Eckart Stein, presented the benefits of Consciousness-Based Education and stress-free schools to the principals and teachers of various schools in 11 towns around Erfurt. The GMDO Director of Education gave a similar presentation in a school in Munster. These presentations have generated great interest among school authorities. A lady teacher from a university has offered to organize lectures on Transcendental Meditation at universities in Jena and Erfurt.

In other news, the GMDO Foundation for Development of Consciousness in Germany will conduct refresher courses in the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, instruction in Advanced Techniques of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, and Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology consultations this year. Inspired by conference calls with the Global Mother Divine Organization, four German ladies are now attending training to become Teachers of Transcendental Meditation.
