Maharishi University of Vedic Medicine, Switzerland, offers five course tracks, online education

Maharishi University of Vedic Medicine in Switzerland now offers five academic degrees and course tracks, to train new practitioners and consultants in Maharishi Ayurveda health care, as well as to enhance the knowledge of doctors already practising this complete, prevention-oriented system of natural medicine.
The programmes consist of the following, as reported recently by Dr Philippe Mercanton, Head Administrator of Maharishi University of Vedic Medicine.
Bachelor of Science: Offers training to become a practitioner of Maharishi Ayurveda.
Master of Science: Offers training to become a full-fledged practitioner of Maharishi Ayurveda, with specialization in one of five theoretical and clinical fields of modern medicine. Certificate: Offers non-degree training to become a health consultant in Maharishi Ayurveda.
Advanced courses for trained Maharishi Ayurveda doctors and health consultants: Refreshes health practitioners' basic knowledge of Maharishi Ayurveda, including in the areas of pulse diagnosis and Maharishi Ayurveda products; this course track also offers opportunity to discuss clinical experience with a Vaidya (Ayurvedic expert from India). Self health care: Offers training in basic principles of Maharishi Ayurveda and its advanced knowledge and application in the fields of self pulse-reading, prevention, diet, digestion, nutrition, and Maharishi Yoga Asana.
The university offered its first online course beginning in July 2010, in self-pulse diagnosis. Twenty students at the university enrolled in this course, including six BS candidates, eight certificate candidates, and six students in the self-health care track.
Maharishi University of Vedic Medicine will be offering a second distance education course beginning in May 2011, in Human Physiology: Expression of Veda and the Vedic Literature.
