Portugal: 66 students and teachers learn Transcendental Meditation

In Portugal and Portuguese-speaking nations of Africa, many are learning the Transcendental Meditation Programme, as well as enjoying programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for education and health.

In Portugal, double the number of people learnt Transcendental Meditation this year than last year. One school has adoped Consciousness-Based Education, and already 52 students and 14 teachers have begun practising TM in this school. In the beginning of July 2011, Transcendental Meditation Advanced Techniques were offered as well as Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology.

In the Portuguese-speaking African nations of Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Angola, Cape Verde, and São Tomé and Príncipe, a programme will soon be launched through which 100 health professionals will learn Transcendental Meditation. These will be the first people practising the technique in those countries, and will form the basis for creating invincible peace and progress on a national scale.
