The new Vastu City Planning book has found a home in many of the top academic libraries in the United States.

Jonathan Lipman, AIA, North America's pre-eminent practitioner of Vastu architecture, talked about the recently released book that focuses less on individual houses and buildings and more on creating sustainable, life-supporting cities for generations to come.

Mr Lipman's architectural practice has been devoted exclusively to
Maharishi Vastu architecture for the past eight years, and according to his profile on the Maharishi University of Management elearning faculty web page, he has accumulated more experience at reviving and applying its ancient principles than has any other licensed Western architect in the world.

Mr Lipman's office, at the suggestion of Vastu City Planning creator, Dr Eike Hartmann, has been distributing the book to interested libraries in colleges across the United States. They have mainly focused on colleges that have departments of City Planning and Architecture.

Many of the top universities in the country have requested a copy of the book, said Mr Lipman, including Harvard, the University of California Berkeley, Cornell University, George Washington University, Columbia University, and New York University.

Mr Lipman shared a letter from one of the nation's leading universities, which now has a copy of Vastu City Planning in its library.

The letter read:

'We have received the book Vastu City Planning. It is a very attractive, well-produced, and interesting book. On behalf of our library, thank you very much. I personally have looked at your website and want to say you've done a very nice job in describing and illustrating your projects.'

He added, 'We are getting a fantastic reception among academics to this great book that has been created on Vastu city planning.'
