The Album of Events page of Global Good News is featuring a tour headed by Dr Bevan Morris, President of Maharishi University of Management in the USA, of ten African nations where Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes have been introduced in recent years.

Dr Morris's return visit to South Africa's Maharishi Institute in Johannesburg is illustrated in Part I of the slide series, featuring current Institute graduates. Their remarkable progress towards a high degree of happiness, stability, and realization of personal goals was presented by Dr Morris as achieving the ideals of Consciousness-Based Education, which includes the practice of Transcendental Meditation. All of the graduates have obtained employment in white-collar level jobs. They told Dr Morris, 'My emotions and problem-solving have improved.' 'Transcendental Meditation helped me to deal with tension, it improved my health and capacity to think.' 'I am more of a warrior now than a worrier.'

Dr Morris was then welcomed to Mozambique by former President Joaquim Chissano. President Chissano and his family learned Transcendental Meditation in 1992 and he introduced it to his government leaders and to thousands among the military and the general public. 'The result has been political peace and balance in nature in my country,' he said in 2001.

Part II follows the continuation of the tour through eight nations, where Dr Morris presented news from around the world about the achievements of Consciousness-Based Education and other programmes founded by Maharishi for reducing stress, developing perfect health in the individual and society, and promoting peace in the world.

Highlights of the tour included visits to Maharishi Schools in Kenya and Uganda.
