Raja John Konhaus reviews Maharishi's address to the Conference for Poverty Removal in New York

As an introduction to his report on the remarkable expansion of organic agriculture around the world, during the Global Family Chat on 19 June, Raja John Konhaus, Raja of California, reviewed Maharishi's talk to the Conference for Poverty Removal in New York, from where Raja John was speaking. Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture is the basis of the Poverty Removal Programme of the Global Country of World Peace.

'All good things in Nature happen naturally,' Maharishi said. 'Poverty removal is a natural phenomenon based on how Nature functions and based ultimately in the radiance of the Light of God.' This is what is going to remove poverty, he said: 'We've got a turn-key operation from Guru Dev and therefore everything we want to happen, will happen spontaneously.'

Maharishi said that he was very fond of the level of 'nothingness', which we know is the level of the total potential of Natural Law, the level of the Unified Field, the Atma, the Self, within each of us. This is what will eliminate poverty, because life is truly based on the infinite wealth of bliss.

'Life in essence is fullness of everything—fullness of wealth, fullness of health, fullness of happiness—but unfortunately civilization has been lost in the field of difference. But now the time is changing, changing to the fulfillment of human existence.'

Maharishi said it is simply because of the groups of coherence-creating individuals in every country. On the basis of that beautiful and blissful coherence, everything will happen naturally. Everything will happen in the Light of God. 'The time is right, the dawn has come, the night is ending,' he said, 'and quite naturally, the beautiful plans that he has brought us from his Vedic Tradition will be blossoming in the world now.'
