During a recent Global Press Conference on Unified Field-Based Agriculture, Dr John Konhaus, Raja (Administrator) of California for the Global Country of World Peace, presented underlying principles and practical applications of Maharishi Vedic Agriculture—one of the seven programmes of the Global Financial Capital of New York.

As reported in a recent Global Good News article, Vedic Agriculture promotes sequential unfoldment of the intelligence of the plant, Dr Konhaus explained that the first basic principle underlying Vedic Agriculture is the principle of sequential unfoldment.

The second basic principle that underlies Vedic Agriculture, he said, is that life is fundamentally ten-fold. 'It has an eight-fold divided nature, Dr Konhaus said, 'and a two-fold unmanifest, undivided, nature at its source.'

The Unified Field of Natural Law is the level of the two-fold undivided nature. The Unified Field, Dr Konhaus said, 'has a silent, abstract, unmanifest level, and it has a dynamism within that unmanifest silence.'

Dr Konhaus then went on to discuss the eight-fold divided nature of life, which, he said, is first expressed in the eight Vedic Swaras—the eight fundamental reverberations of consciousness—expressed as the eight Sanskrit vowels: A, I, U, R, Lr, E, O and Am.

These sounds, Dr Konhaus explained are not arbitrary; they are the actual wave vibration, the sound vibration, of these eight fundamental modes of consciousness. 'This is a direct perception of reality,' Dr Konhaus said. 'The Vedic language is not a man-made language. It's a language of the reverberation of consciousness.'

Dr Konhaus pointed out that in the second level of elaboration, each of these vowels has a Prakriti, or nature, corresponding to the eight fundamental building blocks of creation, the eight elements: earth, water, fire, air, space, and mind, intellect, and ego—the three subjective elements in creation.

The entire creation, including the human physiology, is made up of these fundamental building blocks—fundamental reverberations of consciousness—and reflects the 10-fold nature of life. The two-fold unmanifest nature of life is seen in the consciousness of the individual, and the eight-fold divided nature is expressed in the human physiology.

Dr Konhaus explained that 'the earth element is the solid systems of the body, the musculo-skeletal system; the water element is the fluid systems of the body, the renal and cardiovascular systems; the fire element is the metabolic systems expressed in the gastrointestinal tract; the air element is the gaseous system expressed in the respiratory systems; the Akasha, space, is expressed in the space elements in the body—the joints, and all the spaces within the body. The mind element is expressed in the hypothalamus and the endocrine and reproductive systems; the intellect is expressed in the thalamus and the immunological systems; and finally the ego is expressed in the brain and the neuro-physiological system.'

'It's the same eight elements that appear as the eight fundamental systems within a plant,' he said. 'We are going to use these building blocks in making the transformations that we want to make in the life of a plant.'
