Vedic Agriculture: Awakening Natural Law in the intelligence of the farmer and the plant

During a recent Global Press Conference on Unified Field-Based Agriculture, Dr John Konhaus, Raja (Administrator) of California for the Global Country of World Peace, described practical applications of Maharishi Vedic Agriculture-one of the seven programmes of the Global Financial Capital of New York.

Dr Konhaus, a world expert on Vedic Agriculture, described how it uses procedures that work at different levels of human existence and experience. It deals with the Atma level (the Self, pure consciousness), for example, by using Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's techniques—the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, to develop the farmer's consciousness. With the farmer's consciousness established at the source of Natural Law, that same Natural Law gracefully and automatically responds to his intention from that most fundamental level of extistence. So rains come and the sun shines when such enlightened farmers desire and need them.

The Veda level, on the other hand, uses specific Vedic sounds—certain Vedic expressions of intelligence—in the chanting of specially trained Vedic Pandits. Nature is imbalanced in our time, Dr Konhaus said; however, these different sounds, applied at each level in the life of the plants, re-supply the missing holistic intelligence that the plant needs—the same intelligence that allows the human physiology to metabolize and use the food most efficiently.

Research has shown that the more chemicals contained in food, the lower the cognitive functioning or memory of the people who eat it. Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture ensures that food will be at the highest level of purity, without chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, or gene modification. This food also contains some of the purity of consciousness of the farmer who grows it, and of the Vedic Pandits whose chanting adds the purity of intelligence of the Vedic sounds. This special food is fresh and fully-ripened when picked to conserve all the vitamins, antioxidants, and nutrition of the plant at its developmental peak.
