In his presentation about Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture on 22 October Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Peter Swan, Minister of Communication for the Global Country of World Peace and host of the daily live broadcast, explained how the eight Prakritis or elements in Nature are seen in the different systems in plants.

Showing a chart of a simplified version of Maharishi's Apaurusheya Bhashya of Rk Veda, Dr Swan explained the eight Prakritis, or elements in Nature, as represented in the different systems in plants: the sensory-neurologic system of the plant, the immune system, the hormonal endocrine system, the pause and gaps in the growth process. For example, the respiratory system of the plant represents air; photosynthesis represents fire; plant juices represent water; and the plant fibres represent earth, the structuring element.

Dr Swan covered the importance of every aspect of the Veda (Total Knowledge) being available in a balanced way in human physiology. For this they must be present in a balanced way in the food that we eat; and for that, must be available in a balanced way in the soil-food web, in the soil cycle.

'Any imbalance in the soil influences the crop and influences our physiology. This is what has been found in what is known as ''the Green Revolution'',' Dr Swan said.

Dr Swan then showed a chart illustrating that when Veda is complete at every level, then human physiology has the benefit of the completeness of Veda in the crop, and the completeness of Veda in the food production cycle in the soil. 'Veda must be complete at every level for us to have ideal health for every individual,' said Dr Swan.
