Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture: The science and art of transformation

One of the major themes of a new course in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture is transformation.

When Maharishi Mahesh Yogi inaugurated Vedic Agriculture, he highlighted the theme of transformation, said Dr Peter Swan, world expert in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture and Minister of Communication of the Global Country of World Peace.

'Maharishi said that agriculture transforms anything into anything,' Dr Swan continued. 'It transforms the dust into delicious juicy fruits and vegetables. So this is the power of agriculture.'

Dr Swan said that at a much deeper level, 'we can look at that [transformation] from the perspective of . . . quantum physics, in which anything can be transformed into anything at the level of the Unified Field.'

Dr Swan explained, 'On the surface of the field, where everything is expressed first as vibrations—at that level of sound vibration anything can be transformed into anything.'

Through sound vibration of recitation by Maharishi Vedic Pandits, 'the full value of any crop, any herb, can be brought out,' he said.

'Another aspect of the main themes brought out in this course, is that this transformation of agriculture is happening already—'from ploughing, from chemical industrial agriculture to no-till and organic; and from organic and no-till to Vedic Agriculture.

'It's all in the direction of doing less and accomplishing more. And as one does less and less, so the activity of farming is more and more successful, it's less costly, and it is more in accord with Natural Law.

'So these are the major themes running through the course. And it is all as an extension of Maharishi's overriding theme . . . of transformation: Agriculture—the science and art of transformation,' Dr Swan concluded.
