Netherlands: Sustainability of MERU campus - including gift of 400 new fruit trees - offers model for Peace Colonies worldwide

On 24 March, Raam Navami, the auspicious day in the Vedic Calendar celebrating the awakening of ideal administration through total Natural Law, planting of hundreds of young fruit and nut trees began on the campus in MERU, Holland of the International Capital of the Global Country of World Peace.
Maharishi Vedic Pandits performed an early morning Vedic ceremony to inaugurate the initiative.
Four hundred trees, which will bear apples, pears, plums, cherries, walnuts, and almonds, are the gift of Maha Raj Rajeshwari, leader of the Global Mother Divine Organization.*
This gift will always be a reminder of her enlightened and simple nature, and her generosity to all future generations.

Beautiful gardens and avenues of trees laden with fruits and nuts will help MERU become as sustainable and self-sufficient as possible. The abundance of nourishing food produced on the campus will serve as a model for other Peace Colonies,** said Dr Peter Swan, Minister of Communication of the Global Country of World Peace.***
